One of my favorite Japanese restaurants can be found in my home town of Rio de Janeiro. The authentic style dining room is divided into small sections so you have your privacy while there is a great atmosphere. The open style kitchen really shows off the fact of their fresh fish where you can tuna being filleted.
There are a few dishes that you don’t normally see on the menu anywhere else apart from at Sushi Leblon. One being the Philadelphia roll which is a salmon roll deep fried in a popcorn batter. The crispy batter with the softness of the phili is awesome and the salmon is cut to the exact size to hit a perfect pink that, call me strange, i love to see.
The second is salmon with foie gras, im personally not so keen on foie but I love the creativity and mix of cuisines.
If you are in Rio then Sushi Leblon is a must. Ferran Adria is a regualar diner here so they must be doing something right!
